Wedding Wear 2018 - Here comes the Mother of the Bride/Groom

Now it’s 2018 we can officially look at wedding wear for Mother of the Bride/Groom. Sometimes I think this decision is harder than the Brides gown, as getting it ‘just right’ is difficult. We don’t want to look fuddy-duddy, we want to be comfortable (it’s a long day/night), we need the right colour, don’t want to upstage the Mother of the Bride (if you’re Mother of the Groom) etc, etc…phew!!

So, here are a few tips and suggestions you may consider when choosing that special outfit:

One thing we often hear is that we need a little upper arm coverage, but don’t want a jacket.

So, here is a beautiful laced, beaded dress with ¾ sleeve that looks stunning, elegant and covers the arm. The additional benefits with this dress is that the lace overlay flatters all shapes and sizes. This dress can be worn from day to night.

This vibrant look adds a modern touch whilst remaining elegant. This is a two piece with a twist. The little blue jacket reveals a lovely floral dress, so if given an opportunity to go from more formal (e.g. for the service) to an injection of fun for the celebratory dancing. Again, the ¾ sleeve adds a little coverage with a beautiful neckline that complements all ages.

This delightful two-piece dress and lace over top has a super ruffle rear hemline. This is truly amazing for a feminine, elegant and stylish look. Perfect for any Mother of the Bride/Groom. Modern elegance at its best.
