SS17 Colour Trends

The British summer is in full swing – and although that can mean grey skies from time to time, that gives you all the more reason to inject some colour into your wardrobe. At Nero e Bianco, we’re always on the hunt to bring you the most curated styles that will not only transform your wardrobe, but change the way you think about fashion. If you’re stuck in a style rut or just fancy a change, here are our top three colours for the summer.

PANTONE chose ‘Greenery’ as their Colour of the Year for 2017, so it should come as no surprise that fashion designers took it upon themselves to incorporate this into their Spring and Summer collections.

Michael Kors, Emilio Pucci and Balenciaga all coveted grassy, emerald greens teamed up with canary yellows and muted-down neutrals to create a refreshing and revitalising look.

Our Belper store has plenty of greenery to offer, featured across bold floral prints and geometric jackets. Wear with bright whites in summer, and midnight black as we transition into the colder months.

Nautical Blue

This trend is perfect for those of you who struggle to break out of a no-colour rut. If your wardrobe mainly consists of greys, whites, blacks and nudes but you’re longing to add a splash of colour, then a blue hue is the ideal way to break out of that routine.

Soft, denim-like hues are consistently a huge hit on the catwalks, but for Spring and Summer 2017, designers really picked up their game. This muted shade of blue encapsulates the nautical trend and is reminiscent of Italy’s Amalfi coast. When styilng your outfits, think floaty, barely-there fabrics, on-trend espadrilles and elegant shapes.

If a brighter cobalt blue is more your thing, our Derby store has plenty to offer in the form of stylish shift dresses and structured blazer jackets.

Flame red

This flamboyant and eye-catching colour is definitely not for the colour-shy! Featured on the Spring and Summer catwalks by designers including Oscar de la Renta and Christian Siriano, this is a particularly great colour for occasionwear.

Whether you match it with neutral palette or against vibrant patterns and shades, it’s sure to have heads turning.

Visit our Belper store for an array of bold prints and asymmetric shapes that incorporate this trend.
